Refund requests may be considered only in the following cases:

• Duplicate payment against the same transaction.
• Excess payment made inadvertently.
• Failed transaction where the amount is debited but the payment is not reflected in Mahakhanij 2.0.
• Verified system or technical error resulting in incorrect payment processing.
• Refund directed by a competent authority, court, or Government order.

The following shall not be eligible for refund:

• Utilized Transport Passes, permits, licenses, or certificates.
• Successfully processed applications and statutory payments.
• Penalties, fines, and government dues already appropriated.
• Payments made based on incorrect information submitted by the applicant.

• Refund requests must be submitted within 90 days from the date of payment.
• Applicants must provide transaction details, payment proof, bank account information, and supporting documents.
• All refund claims shall be subject to verification and approval by the concerned competent authority.

• Approved refunds shall be credited electronically to the original applicant's verified bank account.
• Processing timelines may vary depending on verification, payment gateway, and banking procedures.

Mahakhanij 2.0, the Government of Maharashtra, System Integrator, and Payment Gateway Providers shall not be liable for delays caused by banks, incorrect information furnished by users, or failures of third-party systems.

The Government of Maharashtra reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Updated versions shall be published on the Mahakhanij 2.0 Portal.
